Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar local storage Toyify uses. We keep this to a minimum — we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Questions? Email help@toyify.app.
1. What we use
- Strictly-necessary cookie (
mid). A first-party, HttpOnly cookie holding a random device identifier. It is used only to enforce the free-generation limit and prevent abuse. It sets no advertising profile and is not shared. - Local storage. We store a small flag that you accepted our terms/consent, and the ID of your most recent result, so you can reopen it. This stays in your browser and is not sent to third parties.
- Analytics (PostHog). We use PostHog for product analytics — page views, feature usage (e.g. upload, generate, unlock), and site performance. It is cookieless (no tracking cookie is set; it uses local storage for a randomly-generated device id instead), but it does process your IP address (to derive an approximate location) and browser/device information, which can be personal data under some privacy laws.
2. What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no third-party marketing trackers, no cross-site profiling, and no fingerprinting for advertising. Because our only cookie is strictly necessary and our analytics are cookieless, most jurisdictions do not require a consent banner for them — but you can control cookies at any time through your browser settings.
3. Payments
When you check out, our payment processor (Stripe) may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its own privacy and cookie policies.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary cookie may prevent the free-usage limit from working correctly. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
